Whiteside (knee) bruised his knee Monday and will likely be held out against the Pacers, Jason Lieser of Palm Beach Post reports.
Analysis:
Little is known about the injury, but it looks as though Whiteside knocked knees with someone at practice, and coach Erik Spoelstra said he "figures" he'll sit out. An official announcement may not come until just before game-time, but at this point it seems likely the Heat will have to lean heavily on Chris Bosh in the frontcourt, especially with Josh McRoberts also out.
