Casspi out with stomach bug as Kings play Celts in Mexico City
Ron Chenoy / Reuters
The Sacramento Kings will be without Omri Casspi Thursday night when they play the Boston Celtics in Mexico City.
Casspi is dealing with gastroenteritis.
The 27-year-old Israeli has been one of Sacramento's few reliable players this season, averaging 11.1 points and shooting 50.6 percent from the field and a very strong 45.2 percent from deep. The Kings are much better with Casspi on the court, putting up a net rating of plus-1.5 when he plays, and minus-10.7 when he sits.
Casspi's loss would be a big blow to the team's chances tonight. The Kings have put together a winning streak longer than a single game just once this season.
