#TBT: The 'Malice at the Palace' brawl turns 11

There are basketball fights, and then there is the "Malice at the Palace."

Nov. 19, 2004 saw what is still touted as one of the most infamous brawls in NBA history when the Indiana Pacers met the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

After a spectator threw a Diet Coke that hit Metta World Peace (then known as Ron Artest), who was lying down on the scorer's table, he entered the stands to exact revenge, and all hell broke loose.

The result? Nine player suspensions, and five players and seven fans facing criminal charges.

NBA fights have never been the same.
