Report: DeMarcus Cousins to pay for funeral of murdered high school athlete

DeMarcus Cousins will reportedly cover the funeral expenses for Jaulon Clavo, a Grant Union High School senior who was shot and killed Friday.

According to ABC10, the Sacramento Kings center wanted his donation to be anonymous, but it was announced at a candlelight vigil for the slain football player by Sacramento City Council member Rick Jennings.

Clavo was riding in a car with four teammates on the way to a team meeting when a suspect opened fire. Malik Johnson was also hit, but is expected to survive.

Cousins was "often" spotted at Grant football games, according to the ABC10 report.
