Toronto Raptors forward DeMarre Carroll will not play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, as he continues to deal with plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

This will be Carroll's third consecutive game missed, after he sat out against the Miami Heat and New York Knicks.

In Carroll's absence, the Raptors have employed James Johnson at the small forward position. Johnson has done an admirable job in his new role, particularly on defensive assignments.

Carroll is averaging 12.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals on the season.
