Sharpshooter J.R. Smith will suit up for the Cleveland Cavaliers for their tilt against the upstart Utah Jazz on Tuesday, reports Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Smith sustained a knee bruise last week which forced him to sit out the team's last three contests, although part of his absence was precautionary on the part of the Cavaliers.
After bungling his contract situation in the offseason, Smith has gotten off to a slow start for the banged-up Cavaliers. Smith is averaging 4.8 points per game while shooting 27.6 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from 3-point range through the Cavs' first four games.
Smith will likely rejoin the starting lineup in place of fill-in swingman Richard Jefferson.
