Derrick Rose: Being Sued By Ex-Girlfriend On Rape Allegations

Rose is being sued by an ex-girlfriend who has accused him of rape, CSN Chicago reports. A spokesperson for Rose released a statement saying in part that the allegations are "nothing more than a desperate attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete."

The Bulls also released a statement early Thursday morning: "We just learned about this matter and do not know all the facts. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time." These are obviously extremely serious allegations, but until more facts are released, it'd be inappropriate to speculate on the situation.
