Give President Obama credit: generally speaking, he hasn't been a fence-sitter when it comes to sports.

While many national politicians don't take sides for fear of alienating voters, Obama's been true to his Chitown roots, even admitting he's a fan of the Chicago White Sox over the Chicago Cubs.

So it's understandable he's backing the Chicago Blackhawks in their quest for a third Stanley Cup in six years, as he told the TV show "Extra".

He won't, however, take a side on the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.

The president did bow to the king, saying LeBron James is playing "unbelievably."
