Report: Andray Blatche signs record contract in China
Andray Blatche's season in China went so well that the big man has extended his stay.
Blatche has reportedly signed the biggest contract in CBA history, inking a three-year, $7.5 million contract to remain with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
Blatche, who averaged over 31 points and 14 rebounds with the Flying Tigers this past season, made $2.5 million in his first CBA foray.
The 28-year-old averaged 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in nine NBA seasons with the Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets after the Wizards selected him 49th overall in the 2005 Draft.
The Nets, who Blatche spent his last two solid NBA seasons with, reportedly had interest in bringing him back upon his return from China.
Blatche represented the Phillipines at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup after becoming a naturalized Filipino.
