Kings' Rudy Gay out Saturday with strained quad

Fresh off an embarrassing loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Sacramento Kings are limping into their Saturday night date with the Washington Wizards.
While DeMarcus Cousins is probable to play despite a sprained left ankle, Rudy Gay will not play due to a left patellar tendon (quadriceps) strain. Omri Casspi is expected to start in his place.
After starting the George Karl era with a bang, winning two of three games after the All-Star break, the Kings have lost seven of nine and are now a season-worst 20 games under .500.
Things wouldn't figure to get any easier without Gay, who's averaging a career-high 20.7 points on the season and 27.8 over his last five.
