Spurs' Joseph leaves after sustaining ankle sprain

San Antonio Spurs point guard Cory Joseph was forced to leave Friday's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves after sustaining an ankle sprain.

Shortly thereafter, the Spurs announced that he will not return.

On the year, Joseph is averaging 8.5 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting an impressive 51.4 percent from the field in a backup capacity.
