The New York Knicks' early-season woes hit rock bottom Wednesday with the thud of a bricked J.R. Smith jumper.
Trailing the Orlando Magic by two in the dying seconds, the Knicks had the opportunity to go for the tie or win. Smith decided that a contested pull-up three would be a better option than giving the ball to Carmelo Anthony, who had 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting on the night.
The result and Anthony's reaction were as expected:
All glass.
With the loss, their sixth straight, the Knicks fell to 2-7 on the young season.
