Kyrie Irving is out of walking boot, says ankle sprain is 'Not that serious, I'm all good'
Kyrie Irving has a message for any worried Cleveland Cavaliers fans after Wednesday's report that he was in a walking boot: relax.
On Wednesday, Irving took to Twitter to update the status of his injured right ankle:
Just a sprained ankle from practice, in a walking boot for precautionary reasons. Not that serious, I'm all good.

Irving probably wouldn't come out and say if it was serious, or if it was much worse than reported, but given Irving's somewhat checkered injury history, it's good of him to put the fans at ease.
One fan even found the root cause of Irving's injury:

In his three-year career, Irving has missed 49 games due to various ailments, including a biceps strain, a shoulder sprain, a hyperextended knee, a broken hand, and a concussion. In his lone year at Duke, he missed 26 games with a ligament injury in his right big toe.
It's not fair to call Irving injury-prone given the randomness of his maladies, and considering he played 71 games last season, but it's an understandable concern. The Cavaliers would be fine without him for a stretch, but their ceiling is significantly higher with Irving as part of a three-headed offensive monster that also includes LeBron James and Kevin Love.
Irving is being called day-to-day. With no preseason game until Saturday and another two days off after that, he should be afforded plenty of recovery time. He was also said to be walking without a walking boot on Thursday.
