Morris has signed a multiyear contract extension with the Suns.
Analysis:
Morris' deal with the Suns is reportedly for four-years, $32 million. As a third-year forward, Morris posted career-highs of 13.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 48.6 percent field goal shooting, while averaging 26.6 minutes across 81 games played last season. That production earned Morris fourth-place in voting for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year and he also finished in the top-10 in NBA Most Improved Player voting. Looking ahead, Morris figures to be promoted to the Suns' starting lineup this season, since last season's starting power forward, Channing Frye, left Phoenix in free agency. As a result of an expanded role, Morris should continue his ascent as a valued fantasy commodity.
