Rajon Rondo, agent, deny trade request

Rajon Rondo and his agent are denying reports that the point guard has requested to be traded from the Boston Celtics.

Through a spokesperson, Rondo's agent Bill Duffy made the comments to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald, refuting a remark made on ESPN's Around The Horn.

In the clip, which has since been removed, ESPN's Jackie MacMullan said a Rondo trade will happen because: "He's told them he wants out. And no one believes me, but that's the truth."

Regardless of the validity of the claim, the 28-year-old Rondo will likely remain at the center of trade rumors throughout the coming season until the issue is resolved one way or the other.
