Manu Ginobili is nothing short of a hero in his home country.
In addition to being the finest basketball player ever to hail from Argentina, Ginobili has also selflessly given back to his country, appearing as the face of the now fading "Golden Generation" of Argentinian basketball. As his crowning achievement in international competition, Ginobili led Argentina to the Olympic gold medal in 2004.
For his efforts, a statue of Ginobili was erected in Buenos Aires, as seen below.
