Former Bucks head coach Larry Drew says the Jason Kidd coup d'etat 'blindsided' him
When former Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd pulled a wholly insane failed powerplay that ended up with him leaving Brooklyn for a job with Milwaukee, many around the league were baffled.
That includes former Bucks head coach Larry Drew, who admits that he was "blindsided" by the sudden change. Via the Journal Sentinel, Drew said his dismissal was "definitely mystifying."
"It caught me in a position when I least expected it. But I know how these things work. I don't have any hard feelings, any grudges against anybody.
"Marc (Lasry) called me and I just wished him luck. I've got to keep moving forward."
Drew lasted just one season with the Bucks where his team finished with a league-worst record of 15-67. He has since latched on with Cleveland as an assistant on David Blatt's bench.
