In case you needed another reminder that LeBron James is once again the most popular human being in Cleveland, tickets to LeBron's homecoming event - expected to be his first public appearance since announcing his return to the Cavaliers - sold out within hours.

Akron spokeswoman Stephanie York didn't divulge how many of the free tickets were offered, but she told ESPN that demand was "overwhelming" and is hoping "to make more available."

The event, which York claims is more of a show than a party or rally, is being held at Akron's InfoCision Stadium, which seats 27,000. It's unclear how much of that space will actually be used, but there should be few doubts over the ability to fill up the venue.
