What scares future Hall-of-Famer Kobe Bryant?
His future after basketball, according to Bryant himself. In his own words (via ESPN):
I'm afraid, too. You really have to lean on muses and mentors going forward, just as I did as a kid. It's about having that next wave of things, which is scary as hell, but it's fun at the same time
The quote comes in reference to a new documentary he's filming, entitled "Kobe Bryant's Muse."
According to director Gotham Chopra, "There's this sort of looking forward to life after basketball. This is a guy that's asking a lot of questions."
Bryant already has one documentary made about his life, a Spike Lee-directed, day-in-the-life feature called "Kobe Doin' Work." But the 35-year-old says this one is different. "It's more introspective," said Bryant. "It's about who or what inspired me."
"Kobe Bryant's Muse" will air this November on Showtime.
