Dirk Nowitzki: Signs For Three Years, $25 Million
Nowitzki officially re-signed with the Mavericks for three years and $25 million, ESPN reports.
Analysis:
Nowitzki ends up taking a bigger pay cut than expected and will earn an average of just over $8 million per year. The deal pays Nowitzki overwhelmingly less than he's worth but enables the Mavs to have more cap flexibility, which allowed them to go out and sign Chandler Parsons in free agency. The veteran is determined to finish his career in Dallas and reportedly spurned max offers from both the Lakers and Rockets.
