Calderon will be playing with Spain during the FIBA World Cup this summer, MavsOutsider reports.

Analysis:

Calderon will look to forget the Mavericks' first round playoff loss to the Spurs, and play for his national team in the FIBA World Cup. Calderon signed with the Mavericks after spending the 2012-13 season with both the Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons. He averaged 11.4 points per game, which is about where he's been his whole career. His assist numbers dropped though, going from 7.1 assists in the 2012-13 season, to 4.7 assists per game last season. Calderon did show his reliability, as he was able to play in, and start 81 games in his first year in Dallas. He'll stick in the starting lineup again next season for a Mavericks team that may attempt to pick up a big name in free agency.
