Report: NBA rescinds Lance Stephenson's technical foul from Game 7

On Monday, Lance Stephenson announced his plan to appeal the technical foul he was assigned in the fourth quarter of the Indiana Pacers' Game 7 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

In case you forgot what went down, here's video footage of the incident.

As can be seen, it's an aggressive rebound attempt. But it does appear that Stephenson was merely trying to swat the ball out to one of his teammates.

"I was trying to hit the ball out of his hands to get it to George Hill but the ref probably thought I was trying to smack him or something," said Stephenson after the game.

Regardless of his intention, it looks like the NBA is taking the Cincinnati product's word.

The technical was Stephenson's third of the playoffs, and seven of them results in an automatic one-game suspension.
