Fantasy Fadeaway: Feel the Love!

Here are the most notable fantasy lines from Monday's NBA action:

Kevin Love, PF, Minnesota Timberwolves
33 PTS, 13 REB, 9 AST

It's hard to believe that Kevin Love had never recorded a triple-double until earlier this month - and now that he has a taste, apparently he'd like to do it again. Alas, the league's best stretch four came up an assist short as the Timberwolves escaped with a 110-101 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Love has been unbelievable in February, averaging 34.1 points and 14.3 rebounds in 10 games. If you own him in a league, the chances are good that you're cruising - and if you play daily fantasy, you might want to splurge. He'll be steep, but well worth the cost.

James Harden, SG, Houston Rockets
44 PTS (6-9 3PT), 8 AST, 3 STL

When a player scores 22 points in one quarter and 30 in a half, fantasy owners start getting really excited. Unfortunately, those performances often mean the game is one-sided - and that's exactly what Harden faced as his Houston Rockets trampled the Sacramento Kings 129-103.

Harden did all of his damage in just 31 minutes as he sat out the entire fourth quarter. It was the prudent thing to do - Houston was up by 27 at that point and plays against the host Clippers on Wednesday - and fantasy owners can't really complain, since Harden was so good.

J.J. Hickson, C, Denver Nuggets
16 PTS, 25 REB, 1 BLK

How a player responds to a demotion is a big deal in the fantasy world - and Hickson owners have to be delighted with how their man handled it. Hickson became just the second player since 1997 to rack up 15 offensive boards, and finished with an ungodly final tally in Denver's 100-95 loss to Portland.

Hickson was benched in favor of Timofey Mozgov, but was given all the crunch time minutes as the game remained close until the end. It's unclear how the time-share will go from here, but Hickson is clearly the better of the two options - even though he's also the less consistent one.
