Report: Grizzlies deny contract to Seth Curry
The Memphis Grizzlies waived Seth Curry on Sunday, but had him wait in town for three days before telling him he wouldn't be signed to a 10-day contract.
According to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the Santa Cruz Warriors were anxious to have Curry rejoin the team for the Development League's Showcase, as he could play in front of several executives from around the NBA.
Curry will reportedly fly to Reno to meet up with the Warriors, who hold his D-League rights, to continue with the Showcase.
The younger brother of Golden State Warriors' Seth Curry was signed to the Grizzlies on Dec. 24, but did not make his NBA debut. Memphis was reportedly looking to sign him to the 10-day contract if he cleared Sunday's waivers.
