Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to return from a right calf strain Saturday against the Chicago Bulls, sources told Eric Nehm of The Athletic.

In order to play in Chicago, though, he'll need to clear a pregame routine that will be overseen by the team's training staff, Nehm adds.

The Bucks officially listed their superstar forward as questionable for Saturday's contest.

Antetokounmpo has missed the Bucks' last eight games since sustaining the injury on Dec. 3. Milwaukee has gone 2-6 during his absence, a skid that's dropped the team to 11th in the Eastern Conference.

The two-time MVP has only featured in 17 of the Bucks' 31 games this season. He's been dominant when on the floor, averaging 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists while shooting 64% from the field.

Milwaukee's gone 10-7 with the nine-time All-Star in the lineup.

Prior to the calf injury, Antetokounmpo also missed time earlier this year because of a left adductor strain.
