Report: Nuggets' Gordon out at least 4 weeks with hamstring strain
Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon is sidelined due to a hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The Nuggets are now without two starters after ruling out Christian Braun for six weeks with an ankle sprain in mid-November.
Gordon's averaging a career-high 18.8 points and 5.9 rebounds in 13 games for Denver this season. He's also posting a career-best 3-point percentage (44.4%) and is one of seven players averaging 15 points on 50-40-85 shooting, per ESPN Research.
The 30-year-old played just 3:21 minutes in Friday's 112-109 road victory over the Houston Rockets and entered the contest dealing with bilateral hamstring issues, Charania adds. Denver then ruled Gordon out for Saturday's loss to the Sacramento Kings.
The 12-4 Nuggets sit second in the Western Conference and 3.5 games back of the Oklahoma City Thunder ahead of Monday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies.
