The Miami Heat agreed to a one-year deal with Precious Achiuwa, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Achiuwa's contract is reportedly non-guaranteed at the veteran's minimum, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Miami had an open spot on its roster, and signing the big man would push the club over the luxury tax should the Heat keep 15 players this season, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Achiuwa spent parts of the last two campaigns with the New York Knicks, averaging 7.1 points and 6.3 boards across 106 appearances. He had a minimal role during the Knicks' run to the 2025 East final, totaling 34 minutes of postseason playing time.

Miami originally selected Achiuwa with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft. He was shipped to the Toronto Raptors following his rookie campaign as part of the Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade.
