Tatum day-to-day with bone bruise in wrist
Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum is doubtful for Game 2 against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday with a bone bruise in his right wrist, the team announced Tuesday.
Tatum is considered day-to-day, head coach Joe Mazzulla told reporters Tuesday, including Jay King of The Athletic.
The six-time All-Star sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 103-86 series-opening win over the Magic. Tatum landed hard on his wrist after Kentavious Caldwell-Pope fouled him on a drive to the basket.
Tatum remained on the floor for several minutes but stayed in the contest. Caldwell-Pope was assessed a flagrant-1 foul on the play.
Tatum finished with 17 points on 8-of-22 shooting, including a 1-of-8 mark from deep, in 40 minutes of play. He led the Celtics in points, rebounds, and assists during the regular season.
