Raptors acquire Ingram from Pelicans
The Toronto Raptors acquired Brandon Ingram from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Bruce Brown Jr., Kelly Olynyk, a first-round pick, and a second-rounder, the teams announced Thursday.
Toronto sent New Orleans the Indiana Pacers' 2026 first-rounder, which is top-4 protected, TSN's Josh Lewenberg reports. The second-round pick is for 2031, according to Sportsnet's Michael Grange.
The Raptors were reportedly neck-and-neck with the Atlanta Hawks for the All-Star forward's services.
Ingram hasn't played since Dec. 7 due to a high-grade low left ankle sprain. He's averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 boards, and 5.2 assists over 18 appearances this season.
He's set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Meanwhile, Brown averaged 9.2 points, 3.8 boards, and 2.3 assists across 51 appearances over parts of two seasons with the Raptors. He's also set to hit the open market this offseason.
Olynyk tallied 10.2 points, 4.7 boards, and 3.6 assists since his acquisition from the Utah Jazz almost exactly a year ago. The veteran center is signed through the 2025-26 campaign.
