Kevin Durant will make his return to Brooklyn on Wednesday for the first time since being traded by the Nets last season, and it appears that he wants the night to be as low-key as possible.

In response to a poll posted Sunday on X asking if Durant deserves a video tribute from the Nets, the Phoenix Suns star made it known that he doesn't want to be honored by his former team.

"Please don't, the night will be better without it," Durant tweeted.

Durant joined the Nets in 2019 but was forced to sit out his first season with the team due to an Achilles injury. He appeared in 129 games over the next two-and-a-half seasons before requesting a trade out of Brooklyn, which led to him being dealt to the Suns in February 2023.

The Suns and Nets faced each other for the first time this season on Dec. 13, with Brooklyn defeating Phoenix 116-112. Durant had 27 points, six rebounds, and four assists in the loss.
