Things are not going as planned for the Golden State Warriors.

The team was booed Wednesday night during its 141-105 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. It was the second consecutive double-digit defeat for Golden State after the team was dispatched by the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night.

After Wednesday's blowout defeat, Stephen Curry acknowledged changes needed to be made.

"If things stay the same, that's the definition of insanity, right? Keep doing the same things expecting a different result," Curry told The Athletic's Tim Kawakami.

Head coach Steve Kerr echoed Curry's sentiment.

"I'm trying to keep their confidence up," Kerr told Kawakami. "But at some point, that may have to change.

"We can't keep going this way, two straight games being non-competitive at home. We have to find some fight. And we may have to resort to some different tactics."

It's been a tumultuous season on and off the court for the 17-20 Warriors. Golden State has struggled without its defensive anchor, Draymond Green.

Green's only appeared in 15 games this season due to injury and suspension. The Warriors are 10-12 without him.

The former Defensive Player of the Year hasn't suited up since he was reinstated from his 12-game suspension for striking Phoenix Suns forward Jusuf Nurkic. This was Green's second suspension of the year as he was issued a five-game ban in November for choking Rudy Gobert.

Green is expected return at some point in the coming week.

On Friday, veteran point guard Chris Paul suffered a broken hand that will sideline him for four-to-six weeks.

Kerr acknowledges that these distractions and injuries have hurt the team. "We probably need a pick-me-up, we need Draymond, we need Chris, we need guys who can kind of rally the troops right now," Kerr told Janie McCauley of the Associated Press.

The NBA Trade Deadline is Thursday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. ET.
