Report: 76ers sending Thybulle to Trail Blazers
The Philadelphia 76ers are trading Matisse Thybulle to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of a three-way deal with the Charlotte Hornets, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Philadelphia will reportedly receive Jalen McDaniels as part of the move, while the Hornets will get multiple second-round picks. Charlotte will also reportedly add veteran shooting guard Svi Mykhailiuk.
Thybulle has established himself as one of the best young wing-stoppers in the league. The 25-year-old was drafted 20th overall in 2019 but has struggled offensively; he's recording just 2.7 points per game in his fourth season, with his minutes per game dropping from 25.5 in 2021-22 to 12.1 this year.
McDaniels, a fourth-year player himself, is registering career highs across the board, including points (10.6), boards (4.8), assists (two), and steals (1.2) while starting in 21 of 56 games this season. The 25-year-old was a second-round pick in 2019.
