Giannis passes KD, 2nd behind LeBron in All-Star fan voting
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo passed injured Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant to become the Eastern Conference's leading vote-getter in the third update of the 2023 All-Star Game fan balloting.
Antetokounmpo is now the front-runner as the team captain for the event's draft, joining Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, the league's overall leader in fan votes.
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown also surpassed Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden for third place in the East's backcourt. Meanwhile, Sacramento Kings big man Domantas Sabonis made an appearance in the West's frontcourt rankings, surpassing Los Angeles Clippers wing Kawhi Leonard.

The picks from fans account for 50% of the overall vote for All-Star starters, while media and the players each account for 25%. The starters and captains will be revealed live on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. ET.
The All-Star Game takes place on Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City.
