Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden passed Hall of Famer Reggie Miller for third place on the NBA's all-time 3-pointers list with his 2,561st career make from long range during Thursday's 129-100 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

Harden, 32, entered the game needing one trey to surpass Miller. The former MVP drilled the milestone triple just before the midway point of the opening quarter.

It was the lone highlight for Harden against his former club. He finished with 11 points on 3-of-17 shooting to go along with four turnovers.

Here's how the league's career 3-point leaderboard looks after Harden climbed to No. 3:

Rank Player 3PM
1 Stephen Curry 3102
2 Ray Allen 2973
3 James Harden 2563
4 Reggie Miller 2560
5 Kyle Korver 2450

7 Jason Terry 2282
8 Jamal Crawford 2221

Miller, who was courtside at the Wells Fargo Center for the TNT broadcast, sported a custom Harden jersey to commemorate the occasion.

The Sixers acquired Harden from the Nets in a blockbuster deal at the trade deadline. The 10-time All-Star is off to a strong with his new club, averaging 22.3 points, 11.2 assists, and 7.3 boards over six appearances.
