New York Knicks executive vice president William Wesley believes Tom Thibodeau's coaching is partly to blame for the club's struggles this season, sources told SNY's Ian Begley.

Wesley, commonly known as "World Wide Wes," relayed those thoughts in recent conversations with Knicks owner James Dolan, reports Begley.

It's unclear if Thibodeau's job is in jeopardy. The 64-year-old was apparently angry with the front office's inactivity at the trade deadline.

Wesley and president of basketball operations Leon Rose hired Thibodeau as head coach in July 2020. Rose, a former CAA agent, used to represent the bench boss.

Thibodeau captured his second Coach of the Year award last season after guiding New York to its first playoff appearance since the 2012-13 campaign.

The Knicks currently sit 12th in the Eastern Conference. They dropped nine games below .500 after squandering a 28-point lead to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
