Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. has entered the NBA's health and safety protocols, the team announced Monday, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

He joins All-Star forward Pascal Siakam and rookie Dalano Banton in health and safety protocols.

Vaccinated players placed in protocols are sidelined for at least 10 days unless they register consecutive negative COVID-19 tests at least 24 hours apart.

Trent has been a bright spot for the Raptors, averaging a career-high 16.8 points while shooting 38.3% from deep over 27 appearances this season. He leads the Association with 2.2 steals per contest.

Toronto reportedly signed forward Juwan Morgan and guard Brandon Goodwin earlier Monday. The club also called up former lottery pick Nik Stauskas, sources told NBA insider Marc Stein.

The Raptors' matchup against the Orlando Magic this evening was postponed Sunday after Magic players and staff members entered health and safety protocols.

Toronto's next scheduled game is Wednesday versus the Chicago Bulls.
