The Boston Celtics signed veteran wing CJ Miles to a 10-day contract using the hardship exemption, the team announced Monday.
Miles last played in the NBA during the 2019-20 season with the Washington Wizards.
The 34-year-old owns career averages of 9.6 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 35.8% from deep. He suited up for the Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, and Memphis Grizzlies before a 10-game stint with the Wizards in 2019.
Hardship exemptions allow teams in need of replacements to exceed the usual 15-man roster limit to temporarily add players on 10-day deals.
