Report: Thomas among veteran guards working out for Dubs

The Golden State Warriors are having a look at several veteran guards ahead of the start of training camp.

Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, and ex-Warrior Quinn Cook, among other players, are working out for the team, sources told The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears.

Golden State, which has room for two more guaranteed contracts heading into this season, is keen on adding one big man and a pair of guards to the training camp roster, according to Spears.

Thomas, 32, appeared in just three games last season after penning a 10-day deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. The two-time All-Star has featured only 87 times across the last four seasons in part due to a recurring hip injury. Thomas has also reportedly worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks this summer.

Bradley is a free agent after the Houston Rockets declined to exercise his $5.9-million team option this offseason. Cook, who previously spent two campaigns with the Warriors, played with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season on a pair of 10-day contracts.

NBA training camps are slated to open Sept. 28, with the preseason schedule set to start the following week. The Warriors will kick off the 2021-22 campaign against the Lakers on Oct. 19.
