Kawhi Leonard and Paul George rose to the occasion Friday night, scoring a combined 65 points to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a crucial 118-108 Game 3 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

The Clippers overcame an early 19-point deficit and a 44-point effort from Luka Doncic, but George isn't putting much stake in his club's first victory of the series.

"We're down 2-1. We haven't shown anything," George said postgame, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "We're not the favorites (to win it all). We're not the defending champs. We haven't shown anything.

"We have to continue to keep doing it. We've got to win this series, but it's one game at a time. We've got to win Game 4 and send it back to L.A. Take home-court advantage. But off one win, we haven't shown anything."

Los Angeles performed far better defensively in Game 3 than it did in the opening two contests of the series. Dallas shot 50% and 58.5% from the field in Games 1 and 2, respectively, but was limited to 44.2% shooting during Friday's affair.

And though Doncic scored at an efficient rate, his supporting cast struggled. Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway, and Dorian Finney-Smith went a combined 10-of-34.

"We felt like we weren't playing our game to begin with to be down 0-2," George said. "We felt like we weren't playing our style, and I thought tonight we got to that. This is (what) we hang our hat on, playing on the defensive side, and we didn't show any defense the first two games."

The Clippers can tie the best-of-seven series 2-2 with a victory Sunday.
