New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose was announced as a finalist for the 2020-21 NBA Sixth Man award on Thursday, along with Utah Jazz teammates Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson.
While Rose appreciates the honor, he's more excited about being back in the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
"It's cool, but it's more cool being in the playoffs," Rose said Friday, according to SNY's Ian Begley. "Missed it for the last couple of years. Being back here, being in a market like this, it means a lot."
The Knicks will host the Atlanta Hawks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday in their first playoff action since the 2012-13 season. The team has already sold out that contest as well as their following home game on May 26.
