Report: Beal day-to-day with hamstring strain, regular season status uncertain

Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal will be listed as day-to-day after suffering a mild hamstring strain Saturday against the Indiana Pacers, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The 27-year-old underwent an MRI Sunday that ruled out a serious hamstring injury, Charania adds. However, Beal's status for the Wizards' final three regular-season games - versus the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, respectively - is reportedly uncertain.

The Wizards have already ruled out the three-time All-Star for Monday's encounter with the Hawks.

Beal, who finished with 50 points Saturday, did not play in overtime against the Pacers after tweaking his hamstring late in the fourth quarter.

The nine-year veteran's performance improved his average to 31.4 points per game this campaign, temporarily vaulting him past Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry in the race for this season's scoring title. Curry, however, later responded with 49 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, increasing his own average to 31.9 points and overtaking Beal.
