Kawhi to miss at least a week due to foot soreness
Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard will be re-evaluated next week due to right foot soreness, the team announced.
Leonard missed four consecutive games last week with the same ailment. He returned Sunday against the Minnesota Timberwolves but played just short of 23 minutes, well below his average of 34.4 minutes per contest this season.
The Clippers say the California native has been "managing" the soreness.
Leonard, 29, has already been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. He'll also miss games against the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets on Wednesday and Friday, respectively.
The two-time NBA Finals MVP is averaging 25.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.7 steals while shooting 39.3% from deep in 46 games this season.
