The Portland Trail Blazers plan to sign forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Hollis-Jefferson is yet to appear in a game this season after the Minnesota Timberwolves waived him during the preseason.
The 26-year-old played 60 contests for the Toronto Raptors in 2019-20, averaging seven points, 4.7 boards, and 1.8 assists per game.
Hollis-Jefferson has proven to be a capable defender and playmaker over his five-year NBA career. His 13.5% assist percentage last season ranked in the 85th percentile among big men, according to Cleaning the Glass.
Portland drafted Hollis-Jefferson 23rd overall in 2015 but subsequently dealt him to the Brooklyn Nets.
