Report: Wolves, Celtics among 6 teams interested in Cavs' Nance

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr. appears to be in high demand.

Six teams are interested in Nance, with the Minnesota Timberwolves the most aggressive of the group, sources told Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor. Nance's former teammate, D'Angelo Russell, is understood to be a strong advocate for the Timberwolves acquiring his friend ahead of the March 25 deadline.

The Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, and New Orleans Pelicans are also reportedly interested in Nance. Cleveland has received more calls for the 28-year-old than for any other Cavs player, Fedor adds.

One unnamed suitor offered multiple late first-round picks for Nance, according to Fedor.

However, Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman is apparently keen on keeping Nance, as well as Jarrett Allen, Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, and Isaac Okoro, though none are considered "untouchable."

Prior to Saturday's report, Nance responded to speculation about his future, tweeting: "Hope everyone is having a happy Friday, except those people that keep putting me in their mock trades."

Nance, who penned a four-year, $44.8-million deal with Cleveland in 2018, has missed the last 12 games due to a fractured finger. He led the league in steals prior to suffering the injury Feb. 6 versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Nance is expected to return for the Cavs' first game following the All-Star break March 12.

Altman has also reportedly received calls for JaVale McGee, Taurean Prince, and Cedi Osman. Cleveland is still pursuing either a trade or a buyout for Andre Drummond, Fedor notes.
