Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Kevin Durant and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James are the frontrunners in the first fan voting returns for the 2021 All-Star Game, which the NBA released Thursday.

Durant and LeBron lead their respective conferences among frontcourt eligible players, while Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry and Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal top the backcourt players in the Western and Eastern Conferences, respectively.

Three of the biggest vote-getters thus far are Eastern Conference frontcourt players, with two-time reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo fourth among all recipients and big man Joel Embiid sitting fifth.

The All-Star Game's starters are selected using a vote comprised of 50% fan vote and 25% each from players and media. Fan voting concludes on Feb. 16 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The 2021 All-Star Game is expected to be held in Atlanta from March 5 to 7 after the coronavirus pandemic canceled the initially planned midseason exhibition scheduled for Indianapolis.
