One new player has tested positive for COVID-19 out of 492 tested over the past week, the NBA and NBPA announced Wednesday.
That number is down from the 11 new cases the league reported on Jan. 20 and the 16 tallied from the week before. This weekly case count is the lowest in the Association since Dec. 10-16, when again only one player registered a positive test.
A total of 23 games have been delayed so far this season, with COVID-19 protocols leaving teams shorthanded. Eight matchups were called off within the last seven days alone. The NBA announced Wednesday it has begun rescheduling some contests to accommodate previous postponements.
