The Dallas Mavericks and free-agent center Willie Cauley-Stein have agreed to a two-year, $8.2-million deal to keep the big man with the franchise, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The contract contains a team option for the 2021-22 season, Charania adds.
Dallas initially acquired the big man in January from the Golden State Warriors for a second-round pick in this year's draft. The 27-year-old averaged 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 13 games with the Mavericks but elected not to participate in the season's restart in Orlando.
Cauley-Stein became a free agent after he declined to exercise a $2.3-million player option for this coming campaign.
