LeBron seeks answers after shooting death of Cavaliers executive's sister
LeBron James addressed residents of Akron, Ohio in a tweet on Wednesday, making a public request to his hometown for information regarding the shooting death of Ericka Weems, the sister of Cleveland Cavaliers director of scouting Brandon Weems, who's James' childhood friend.

Weems, 37, died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office, via Cleveland.com's Cliff Pinckard. She was found Monday in her home and pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to perform a welfare check.
Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman said in a statement that the team's "hearts are heavy and filled with pain over this senseless act."

Akron Police haven't identified any suspects, according to Sean McDonnell of the Akron Beacon Journal.
James and Brandon Weems played high school basketball together at St. Vincent-St. Mary's, ESPN's Dave McMenamin notes. Weems' mother, Brenda Lewis-Weems, was James' godmother. She died in 2006.
