Jeremy Lin leaving Beijing Ducks to pursue NBA comeback

Jeremy Lin has his sights set on an NBA return.

The veteran point guard announced Tuesday he's leaving the CBA's Beijing Ducks in order to chase a spot on an NBA roster.

"This decision has really been the hardest in my life. Every morning I would wake up at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m., thinking, thinking, and thinking all the time," Lin said in a video, according to The Japan Times.

"Although Shougang has treated me incredibly well, giving me everything I wanted, in the end, I feel that I still have NBA dreams. I still have time to play and I have to chase this," Lin continued.

The 32-year-old last appeared in the NBA during the 2018-19 season with the Toronto Raptors, winning a championship with the organization. He elected to continue his career overseas after a lack of interest from teams during free agency last summer.

Lin averaged 22.3 points, 5.6 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in 39 games with the Ducks this past season. He owns career averages of 11.6 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.8 rebounds in 480 NBA contests spent with eight different organizations.
