Antetokounmpo beat fellow finalists Anthony Davis and Rudy Gobert for the honor.
The reigning MVP received 75 first-place votes, compared to 14 for Davis and six for Gobert. Antetokounmpo tallied 432 total points, more than doubling the 200 received by Davis. Ben Simmons, Bam Adebayo, Patrick Beverley, and Andre Drummond also received first-place votes.

The Bucks owned the best defensive rating in the NBA during the regular season, allowing just 102.5 points per 100 possessions, largely due in part to Antetokounmpo's play.
The 25-year-old's 97.4 defensive rating is the best mark on the team among players with at least 10 games played in 2019-20. His impact is also evident when he's off the court, as the Bucks surrender an extra 7.7 points per 100 possessions when Antetokounmpo sits, according to NBA Advanced Stats.
Antetokounmpo is just the fifth player in NBA history to win both Defensive Player of the Year and MVP in a career, joining Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, and Kevin Garnett.
He's also one of three finalists for the 2019-20 MVP award, along with Houston Rockets guard James Harden and Lakers star LeBron James. If Antetokounmpo repeats as MVP, he would join Jordan and Olajuwon as the only two players ever to win both honors in the same season.
